AFTERCARE
TATTOO AFTERCARE INSTRUCTIONS
- A fresh tattoo is susceptible to infection until healed and a skin reaction may be experienced to certain colours.
- The healing time will vary depending upon your age, health status, general diet, lifestyle and care of the tattoo site.
- If your immune system is compromised or your diet is poor then the healing process will be prolonged.
- To ensure that a new tattoo heals quickly and without problems the following advice is given.
- A sterile dressing fixed with micropore tape covers your new tattoo.
- The sterile dressing should be removed very carefully after 4-8 hours. This may be difficult due to blood/bodily fluid seeping into the dressing, drying and attaching the dressing to the tattoo/skin. Completely soak the dressing under running warm water to assist its removal.
- With freshly cleaned hands remove the dressing and gently wash the area, using only your fingertips, under running cool water, a mild unperfumed soap may be used to assist the removal of dried blood. Thoroughly rinse the area after cleaning and pat dry using a clean towel.
- An antiseptic cream or moisturiser (Bepanthen or similar if recommended by your artist) can be applied over the tattoo after cleaning. Ensure that this is for your own personal use and that contamination of the contents is prevented.
- A scab will form over the tattoo, this is part of the normal healing process and must be left alone.
- Wash the tattoo twice daily. DO NOT try to soak or pick the scab off it will begin to fall off naturally after approximately 5 days.
- After the scab has completely fallen off keep applying a moisturiser to help replace body oils.
- To keep your tattoo looking fresh use sunblock if going out in the sun once it has healed.
Whilst your tattoo is healing DO NOT
Pick or scratch at the area.
Go swimming in public baths or the sea.
Excessive exercise or sweating
Use sunbeds or lamps.
Expose the area to strong sunlight.
Drink alcohol within 24 hours of the procedure.

In case of infection, indications are:
- Redness and swelling.
- Sensation of heat at the site.
- Pain, usually throbbing or spreading pain.
- Unusual discharge, (yellow, green or grey pus).
Care of the tattoo is your responsibility following the above advice will ensure safe and proper healing.

I am aware that the following are potential risks associated with tattooing:

- Localized Infection
- Allergic Reaction to Pigment
- Localized Swelling Around The Site
I acknowledge by signing this agreement that I have been given the full opportunity to ask any and all questions I have about getting a tattoo and that all of my questions have been answered to my full satisfaction.

I agree as follows:
- If I have any condition that might affect the healing of this tattoo, I will advise my tattooer.
- I am not under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
- I acknowledge it is not reasonably possible for the representatives and employees of this tattoo studio to determine whether I might have an allergic reaction to the pigments or processes used in my tattoo, and I agree to accept the risk that such a reaction is possible.
- I acknowledge that potential complications, e.g. infection and swelling are always possible as a result of the obtaining of a tattoo, particularly in the event that I do not take proper care of my tattoo.
- I understand that if I have any skin treatments, laser hair removal, plastic surgery, or other skin altering procedures, it may result in adverse changes to my tattoo.
- I acknowledge that a tattoo is a permanent change to my appearance. To my knowledge, I do not have a physical, mental, or medical impairment or disability which might affect my wellbeing as a direct or indirect result of my decision to have a tattoo.
- I acknowledge I am over the age of eighteen (Tattooing of Minors Act 1969) and that the obtaining of a tattoo is by my choice alone. I consent to the application of the tattoo and to any actions or conduct of the representatives and employees of the tattoo shop reasonably necessary to perform the tattoo procedure.
I declare that I give my full consent to the tattooing being carried out by the agreed tattoo artist. By signing this form I am declaring that I have read, understood, and agreed with all of the contents.

1. Confidential Information For the purposes of this Agreement, "Confidential Information" shall include but is not limited to:
- Studio policies, procedures, and practices.
- Pricing, discounts, and other financial information.
- Any other information related to the business operations of Wanda Tattoo Studio, whether communicated orally, in writing, or by any other means.
- Any other information that has commercial value or could harm the business if disclosed.

2. Non-Disclosure Obligations

The Client agrees to:

- Maintain the confidentiality of all Confidential Information and not disclose it to any third party without the prior written consent of Wanda Tattoo Studio.
- Not use the Confidential Information for any purpose other than for performing their duties as a Client at Wanda Tattoo Studio.
- Take all reasonable precautions to protect the confidentiality of the Confidential Information.
- Immediately notify Wanda Tattoo Studio of any unauthorized use or disclosure of Confidential Information.

3. Non-Disparagement

The Client agrees not to:

- Make any false, negative, or disparaging statements about Wanda Tattoo Studio, its owners, employees, clients, or services in any form, including but not limited to social media, online reviews, or any other public or private communication.
- Engage in any conduct that may harm the reputation or business of Wanda Tattoo Studio.

4. Remedies

The Client acknowledges that any breach of this Agreement may result in irreparable harm to Wanda Tattoo Studio, for which monetary damages will be required. Therefore, Wanda Tattoo Studio shall be entitled to seek injunctive relief, specific performance, or any other remedy available at law or equity, in addition to any damages.

Tattoo usage consent*
